Voicebank Info

VOICEBANK INFORMATION

Mallowloid is a voicebank recorded and configured by JV with the voice of Sean T., a true 12 year old boy. This voicebank and character were the idea of Sean T., a cousin of JV, and turned into reality.

Mallowloid was recorded with the Audio Technica ATR-2500 large-diaphragm condenser microphone, surrounded by thick concrete walls with windows and doors shut, in Adlez27's Wine wrap of OREMO on Mac OS X. Mallowloid was then edited for EQ and other things in Audacity, then was configured on SetParam.

Mallowloid comes in two separate versions - Mallowloid LOW-FAT and Mallowloid FULL-FLAVORED. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, and choosing the right version will help you make better things in less time. But remember, both are free!

Mallowloid LOW-FAT uses a subset of the sounds found in Mallowloid FULL-FLAVORED and not different recordings, so, for example, the LOW FAT "nya" does not sound different compared to the FULL-FLAVORED "nya", and they also have the same configuration. If you ever decide to switch from LOW-FAT to FULL-FLAVORED in the middle of a project, you'll not suffer different sound quality and configuration, and will only benefit from FULL's additional features.

This delightful, easy-to-use voicebank allows you to pick up Mallowloid faster than you can say "nya"! Okay, maybe not literally, but Mallowloid LITE really is easy to use. He is a CV voicebank designed for Japanese, and allows you to easily create expressive, cute singing voices. Simply open UTAU, create a note, and type in a Japanese syllable. It does not even have to be in hiragana/katakana - romaji works fine too. Most UST project files for UTAU available on YouTube are compatible with Mallowloid LITE. He's also quick to download.

Mallowloid LOW-FAT comes in two voicebank sets, Raw and Roasted. Raw is a calm and sweet voice tone that gives off a sense of cuteness, while Roasted is Mallowloid screaming his sugar-coated heart out. Sweet is the default tone for Mallowloid, but you can trigger Roasted by adding "!" to the end of each note. Each voice set is recorded with the basic sounds required for Japanese, plus syllables that begin in "l" and 5 OMAKE sounds including breath out, breath in, cough, "Hello!" and "Mallowloid".

Mallowloid LITE cannot sing in English, unlike Mallowloid FULL, due to the lack of end consonants.

Features: CV voicebank structure, Japanese language, 2 voicebank sets (Raw or natural, soft voice tone and Roasted or screaming voice tone), 5 OMAKE sounds.

MALLOWLOID LOW-FAT CV

MALLOWLOID FULL-FLAVORED

This advanced UTAU voicebank provides smoother vocals and English support! Featuring a CVVC structure based on the X-SAMPA phonetic alphabet and two voicebanks (Sweet and Roasted), this voicebank allows Mallowloid to sing with amazing smoothness in both Japanese and English. It takes more time to get the hang of it, but the CVVC structure allows you to simulate transitions from vowel to consonant for more mellifluous results, and the phonetic structure allows for fluent English!

Mallowloid FULL-FLAVORED comes in two voicebank sets, Raw and Roasted. Raw is a calm and sweet voice tone that gives off a sense of cuteness, while Roasted is Mallowloid screaming his sugar-coated heart out. Sweet is the default tone for Mallowloid, but you can trigger Roasted by adding "!" to the end of each note. Each voice set is recorded with the LEXYS-A reclist by Adlez27, allowing both smoother Japanese than Mallowloid LITE and English support. There are also OTO files available to use Mallowloid LITE's CV encoding, as well as an OTO file for compatibility with CVVC USTs designed for Namine Ritsu EVE.

Features: CVVC LEXYS voicebank structure, English language, 2 voicebank sets (Raw or natural, soft voice tone and Roasted or screaming voice tone), 15 OMAKE sounds.
